Chinese Ambassador to Iceland He Rulong Calls on President of the Supreme Court of Iceland
Ambassador He Rulong called on Benedikt Bogason, President of the Supreme Court of Iceland on September 15. Vice-President Sigurður Tómas Magnússon, Secretary-General Ólöf Finnsdóttir, and Counsellor Yang Jing attended the meeting.

Ambassador He noted that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Iceland, and that bilateral relations are embracing new opportunities. Ambassador He expressed his pleasure at visiting the Supreme Court to learn about the development of Iceland’s judicial system and explore judicial exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, thereby contributing to the further development of China-Iceland relations.
President Bogason introduced Icelandic judicial system and the distinctive features of its legal practices. He expressed readiness, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations, to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side in the judicial field, enhance mutual learning, and further promote the steady development of China-Iceland relations.
